Welcome to North Lake Norman Newfoundland and Golden Retrievers online. We are located North of Charlotte NC and are proud to own, love and raise our Golden Retrievers and Newfoundlands. Breeding quality lines for superb pet and show puppies is our hobby. We have owned Golden Retrievers for 19 years continuing the same generation line. We have owned Newfoundlands for 8 years and continue the same generation line. Each generation maintained has been a step toward breeding improved superior puppies. Our pets are part of our family. When our breeding pets are retired they remain with us forever.
 Our Golden Retrievers and our Newfoundlands are our joy! They live within a 14 acre pasture with a creek. Each dog is allowed in our home and is housebroken. They often travel to our beach home with us to enjoy the sand and ocean. Our breeding females and males are hip, heart, patella, DNA OFA (Orthopedic Foundation for America) certified and the Newfoundlands are tested for cystinuria. Each puppy is checked by a vet specialist for heart murmurs (SAS), worms and coccidia prior to leaving our home. A one year health guarantee contract accompanies each Newfoundland puppy. Any puppy I sell is welcome back into my home at any time and at any age. I maintain a list of pre-qualified potential owners for puppies.
I, Pam, work full time as a registered nurse and breeding excellent quality puppies is my hobby. I only breed my females one time a year (if that often). I continually follow the health status of puppies and consider buyers to be life long friends. The gang has access to a 24x32 house with their own rooms. They have a heated and air condition doggy home with TV, hot water, and refrigerator (for the puppy sitter). We employ and have volunteer puppy sitters for the first 2-3 weeks with each new litter so the puppies have 24/7 care while they grow. Our kennels are cleaned twice daily and we do not use any type of shavings as puppy beds (Shavings can be toxic to puppies and often hide the dirt and smell of an unclean facility). We are a 2007 American Kennel approved inspected facility.
When the puppies are 5 weeks old they are moved into another area where the house breaking begins. They are trained to exit through a doggy door to use the bathroom. Within one week they are doggy door trained. This is a tremendous help to the new puppy owner. We also work with each puppy to begin grooming tolerance.
